Church History
Westosha Lakes Church started as “Westosha Lakes Worship” in January 2005 as a video extension of Kenosha Bible Church. It grew into a church without a pastor through the dedicated work of its members in March 2007.
In June 2007, they called their first Senior Pastor, Jeff Talbert. In August 2007, the Pastor and the Elders got together and prayed to ask God what His vision was for Westosha Lakes Church. God independently led each of the five of them to the same vision to bring the Kingdom of God to our world one life at a time. The church members confirmed the vision and dedicated themselves to be a different kind of church that grows in their faith through living out their faith by serving their community.
On October 1, 2007 the members met together to pray and ask God to show them how to live out the vision He had given them. Less than a month later, God opened a door for them to rent out a Community Center along Hwy 50 which they could use as a launching pad to begin to serve their community. They opened the Community Center in March 2007 and are praying and seeking ways they can use it to care for teens and others in the community.
As we look to the future, we are seeking to demonstrate God’s love to our community by living out our faith in practical ways.
